What Happened 2 USA?

happened

Short version :

I was taught Darwin’s theory of evolution as a fact, in my youth. Later I was challenged with science on the theory, and became a creationist. I have studied it since, and can say as fact that there is a God who designed this world. My theory is that the U.S. offended God in the early 1960’s, and he removed his restraint from this country.

Long version :

“We need a revolution”, the man said to me at a job site. I replied that this government has many positions to be filled, and asked if the people who he was going to fill them with were any better than the ones there now. He got angry at me, and stayed that way. We have a morality problem more than a political problem.

Hello, my name is Jim Donahue, the following is an opinion, maybe you could call it an observation. I think that certain specific events from about 54 years ago were the cause of today’s troubles. My childhood in the 1960’s might have been typical, but took a turn for the worse in my teen years. I became involved in drinking, drugs, crime, violence, and immorality. One day I found a small booklet that was a condensed version of a lecture given at U.C.Davis. The lecturer asked the audience to note that there is only one body of scientific evidence, but to see which of two theories that evidence fit best. He went on to compare creation and design to Darwin’s macro evolution. In elementary school I was taught that evolution is a fact; but this lecture was amazing, and was the beginning of a change of thinking for me.

In the 28 years since, I have studied the issue more and am now convinced that the living creatures we see are impossible without a designer. Think about the human eye. It’s comprised of multiple components, each one complex in itself. If these components evolved, how did they know they were part of a whole? The parts are absolutely useless without each other, how did the parts know that they needed to become a certain shape and density to work together?  Saying that a light sensitive spot multiplied in size or ability doesn’t explain how it realized it needed a separate lens with muscles to focus light on the spot. What, the ones fittest for survival just -happen- to have muscles conveniently nearby so they could contract the lens? Remember, a lens must be a certain distance from the place where the light is focused; a blob of clear goo lying on the other part won’t work. How did the spot know that it needed to send a message to the brain? This is light sensitivity, not heat. It can’t be felt in other parts of the creature. If the creatures that were more sensitive to light survived better, how did the spot know that this information had to be passed along to a brain? How did the spot know there -was- a brain? How did the brain know there was a spot?

Then, if you look at it from a biochemical level; Darwin’s idea is even more absurd. This is the chemistry of vision, from “Darwin’s Black Box”, by Michael J Behe:

When light first strikes the retina a photon interacts with a molecule called 11-cis-retinal, which rearranges within picoseconds to trans-retinal. (A picosecond is about the time it takes light to travel the breadth of a single human hair.) The change in the shape of the retinal molecule forces a change in the shape of the protein, rhodopsin, to which the retinal is tightly bound. The protein’s metamorphosis alters its behavior. Now called metarhodopsin ll, the protein sticks to another protein, called transducin. Before bumping into metarhodopsin ll, transducin had tightly bound a small molecule called GD}? But when transducin interacts with metarhodopsin II, the GDP falls off, and a molecule called GTP binds to transducin. (GTP is closely related to, but critically different from, GDP) GTP-transducin-metarhodopsin II now binds to a protein called phosphodiesterase, located in the inner membrane of the cell. When attached to metarhodopsin II and its entourage, the phosphodiesterase acquires the chemical ability to “cut” a molecule called cGMP (a chemical relative of both GDP and GTP). Initially there are a lot of cGMP molecules in the cell, but the phosphodiesterase lowers its concentration, just as a pulled plug lowers the water level in a bathtub. Another membrane protein that binds cGMP is called an ion channel. It acts as a gateway that regulates the number of sodium ions in the cell. Normally the ion channel allows sodium ions to flow into the cell, while a separate protein actively pumps them out again. The dual action of the ion channel and pump keeps the level of sodium ions in the cell within a narrow range. When the amount of cGMP is reduced because of cleavage by the phosphodiesterase, the ion channel closes, causing the cellular concentration of positively charged sodium ions to be reduced. This causes an imbalance of charge across the cell membrane that, finally, causes a current to be transmitted down the optic nerve to the brain. The result, when interpreted by the brain, is vision.

That is just the chemistry of vision, not the rest of the book, which is significant. That arrangement couldn’t happen in 450 billion years, or 450 TRILLION years, it simply could not happen.

What I want readers to do is think about the difference in American culture of the 1950’s with the culture of the 1960’s and 70’s. The 50’s were crew cuts and Leave it to Beaver. Then something happened. In a few short years, we were taken off the gold standard, drug use soared, teen pregnancy soared, divorce skyrocketed, California enacted no fault divorce laws, and other states followed.

As a sample of societal change, look at the 1969 Woodstock music festival. Widespread drug use, and public sex. 400,000 people out in the mud and rain, consuming LSD. Compare that to the 1950’s. Has any other society gone so fast downhill in less than 10 years’ time? We got involved in a ‘Police Action’ in southeast Asia. Troops died taking a hill, only to be ordered elsewhere. Then later, they had to come back and take the first hill again. John and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated. Riots burned down portions of cities.

God is real, and it’s my theory that we offended Him badly in the early 1960’s, so He removed His restraint from us. Yes, we had problems prior to that, but we had His restraint. There were a lot of adults sinning back then, but when you remove God from your children’s lives, then you’ve committed a different kind of transgression. Prior to that, people had a choice of whether to walk in God’s ways. Darwin’s evolution theory keeps entire generations from knowing Him in the first place. Can we be surprised if they act like selfish animals? It’s not entirely appropriate to condemn the adults of that time. Scientists and engineers were making great innovations; and that seemed to validate the scientists who were saying there was no God. I think there was a lot of uncertainty back then in regards to the issue of evolution. But there’s no reason to be uninformed of the debate now.

There may even be a pattern of preying on the defenseless. If they aren’t ripped apart and sold for parts before birth, the minute they’re born they have a public debt put on them, which is about $60,000 each. Compare that to a student loan later in life, but these are babies. They’re bombarded by movies and entertainment that destroys lives. They’re indoctrinated into perverse lifestyles at school, all the while being taught that there is no God.

.

It’s all widespread child abuse.

I write this a few months prior to the 2016 elections. If Hillary Clinton gets elected, I believe it’s the end of America. An unprosecuted candidate will be an unrestrained dictator. Most presidents do their heavy damage in the second term, when they can’t run for a third time. But why should she wait? Who or what will stop her?

If Donald Trump wins, it might buy us some time to get back to the Lord, but without finding the favor and protection of Christ, we cannot make America great again.
