I just finished (finally) painting this steel caboose. I had some setbacks, and a strange paint reaction; but it’s as done as I can make it. The first picture is a new idea to speed masking odd shaped parts. It worked, it’s simply wrapping cheap aluminum foil around the part, with one piece of tape to make a clean edge, and hold it in place.
The next two pictures are the top and side. This was a safety red, a darker red can be had by ordering New Holland Ag red.
The last two pictures are of the hand brake assembly. It appears to be designed in 1942, and this one made in 1966.
