At another site I administered, I had an ongoing series called “The Papa Challenge”. That site is gone, but I’m starting the series back up again. It’s a friendly challenge to encourage men to spend time with their children. Readers are welcome to post their own projects in the comments. Usually I hide the facial identity of my children.
This episode is about making an experimental axe. The blade will be made from a leaf spring that was on a 1946 RR locomotive. In these two pictures, you can see the boys using a cutting torch fro the first time. They did well. We also used a large drill bit in a drill press; but I didn’t get pictures of that part. I’ll post the progress as it happens.
